Deputy Chief Jeffrey Friedman is a character in the Beverly Hills Cop film series. He is portrayed by Paul Reiser.
Biography[]
Beverly Hills Cop[]
He appears in the films as a good friend and occasional partner of Axel Foley's in the Detroit Police Department. Due to Foley's antics, Friedman often tries to cover for Axel and usually gets the heat from Inspector Douglas Todd.

Now a Deputy Chief, Friedman tells Axel that he is retiring and that he should talk to his daughter.
There was also a portrait of his younger self and Axel Foley both in the police academy.
